Porcelain Crowns (Caps)

Dental crowns are used when a tooth is severely compromised and needs more than a filling to be made functional again. They can also be used to enhance a persons’ smile by making the teeth whiter and straighter than they were originally.

Crowns can be made from multiple materials, but porcelain crowns provide the best match to the natural appearance of teeth.

Initially the tooth is trimmed to create a space for the crown to fit. An impression is then taken and sent to our certified cosmetic dental laboratory to be custom fabricated. A temporary crown is placed on the teeth to be worn for a few days. At the next appointment, the temporary crown would be removed and then the new, permanent crown is cemented into place.
